So far it is still sharp even though the red paint is mostly gone from wear and tear. As with most tool bits, the most important aspect is how long it stays sharp. I have used it to plunge-rout dozens of electrical outlet holes in a log cabin's walls.
;) Not much too this one. It's cheap, cuts well, holds an edge well and does what a straight bit should do.
It is best with a two horse or better machine. I use it with a collar to flush trim along templates for out door furniture. This bit works. It has done everything I expected.
